Nitto's did the trick

But, I got booted off the track after

.587 1.947 7.747 92.95 11.942 119.09

On Nitto's 275/40/17 (didn't spin at all)

Don't know if I should be happy of sad?

First 11 second run? By all means, be happy!!

Why'd they boot ya from the track afterwards?

They said I need to get a roll-bar, 5 point harness and a jacket.

I thought they might let me slide, maybe if I don't go back for awhile.

I'm happy about making it to the 11's, but the roll-bar thing has me down.

Thanks.

These guys have a roll bar that is better looking than most and easier to get in and out of than most. You will still lose the back seats however, regardless of what they claim. Jackets are cheap insurance and really don't cost much.

A bar will also allow you to decently install a five point harness. You can't put a price on safety. All it takes is a dragster coming up your butt in a bracket race or someone to drop some anti freeze ahead of you. I have seen way too many accidnets not to have these safety items. If you drive your car on the street you probably need to retain your stock seatbelts for inspection as I have yet to see a 5-point harness with DOT approval.

Thanks, I'd like to get the car paid off first.

I'll just take it easy for a while.

Then I'll get the roll-bar, TC, Thunder cam and go for 10's I guess?

Nice job! Those are some good times. You can cut a better 60 ft time too, or you should be able to at least. I can see a 11.8 in your future.

Thanks, I'm going to back it down to a 50 shot for now.

Atleast I know I can do it!!!

I'm going to wait a little while before installing a roll-bar.

Congrats on the 11's

I think if your cutting 1.9's with Nitto's you could probably cut a 1.7-1.8 with BFG G-Force drag radials.

I am cutting 2.0's with a FWD and slipping clutch and I see them cutting 1.9's for me next season.

If you only use them for the track I would reccomend the BFG's to lower your 60's

FYI BFG's should last 6-8000 road miles while the Nitto's last 12-15000 miles....the BFG's are a little softer compund and get sticky when you do a nice dry clutch dump to the line (no water box needed)

Awesome grip

Thanks,

I'm sure I can get 1.8's with these Nitto's, the 11 second pass was on an unprepped track.

For the converter, it's still stock.
