Newbies To dragracing

NO I am not a newbie to dragracing I have been dragracing for 3 yrs now.
But found a website that could help the newer drivers to the track.
Its called Dragracing for Dummies (not that all new guys are)
http://www.racewindsor.com/Articles/DragRacing.html

If nothing else Look for someone you know that knows how to race or ask someone. Most older drivers dont mind newer ones asking questions.

That is nice to post things like that to help some of the newer drag racers. I read all that stuff when I first started, and it helped alot.

Quick question: Can you rent a helmet at the track usually, or do you have to bring your own?

Normally its bring your own Or have someone bring one for you. I know the tracks here in Washington state do not rent out helmets. If you are going to be racing alot its just best to get one of your own. IT needs to be a Snell 95 Or better ( I think they are about ready to go Snell 2000 for a requirement). Best ones are about $200 or you can find someone running around with extras that is willing to sell them for under that.
