new times, slick launching help please
I have been trying to launch this car for about a year now on nittos and I finally got my slicks. Before I show you my times I will give a disclaimer of high density altitudes. It is usually around 5800 DAs, and as soon as I get the info needed I will have an actual DA. The track did get shut down because of a storm rolling in, so they weren't that great I am sure. Not to mention I only got 3 runs in, but anyways here they are...
60' 1.997
1/8 8.366
MPH 85.86
1000 10.855
1/4 12.947
MPH 108.04
60' 1.847
1/8 8.321
MPH 84.77
1/4 12.939
MPH 107.65
lol this launch was so hard it knocked my head back and I short shifted 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift.. this explains the slow 1/8 and 1/4
60' 1.910
1/8 8.286
MPH 86.07
1/4 12.853
MPH 108.47
spun a little, and then hooked
Ok, so before I had the slicks with this same setup I ran a 13.200@108.66, and a 13.08@109.67 w/ the exhaust off (from under driver seat back) so this was a new best, with slicks though.
I am happy with the 60' and all, but I want to beat it next week, I just want to know how. My main problem is I was slipping the clutch out like I still had ****ty tires, so I am sure if I got a good burnout a good clutch drop would help... what else? any ideas? I want to set up the nitrous for next week but I want to be sixty-footing well before I plug that in.
thanks for the advice

With a good rearend and clutch sooner or later you will bring the Rs up high and let her rip. So it might as well be sooner so you can start to get a handle on it. What kind of slicks did you buy and have you played with the air pressure? How big of a shot you going to run? Do you have a window switch in case you can't hook off the line with the nitrous?
I have a 12bolt right now, and the slicks are hoosier QTP's. I didnt play with the air pressure that much, only 3 runs on them so I wanted to get used to them first. I want to run a 100-200 shot, and of course will get a WOT switch, window switch, and ignition box to go with it, and probably a purge.
