New Bests

The old lt1 keeps chugging along and continues to suprise me. I really didn't expect any new bests today but I was looking forward to running since I hadn't raced the camaro in a while. I came prepared with a set of 27" tires but fortunately I didn't have to use them. The bfg's I've been trying to get rid of did something they've never done before...hook. I made 2 passes with the borla capped up with the best being a 11.98 @ 112.7.

My 2 new bests came after I replaced the starter (don't ask ), and uncapped the borla.

First new best. 11.82 @ 113.82 with a 1.56 60' time. I then decided to remove the front passenger seat and an additional 25 lbs of junk from inside the car to try for 11.7s. Anyways, my new best pass went like this.
RT... .012
60'... 1.565
330.. 4.762
1/8.. 7.466
mph. 88.75
1k... 9.812
1/4.. 11.775
mph. 115.17

Nice times, and those are some killer 60's for BFG's. These old LT1's aren't too bad huh?

I really was surprised the bfg's hooked the way they did. I had been trying to sell them because they had been terrible for me. That bottom end torque the lt1 has is a gas. No need for a large converter to get these things going. I wish mine could run like yours. It's hard enough trying to get through emissions now with the 846 cam.
