New best after stall

You may want to read this link first.http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=521319

Picked up the stall used from WestCoast96Z28 on this board. Done the install Thursday and took it to the track Saturday. The previous best in slightly better air was (2.14)9.07@80.17mph. That was Wednesday night.

Last night it ran a best of (1.93)8.73@80.03mph.
The last pass of the night would have been evan better. It was getting close to midnight and the temp dropped off, but he spun the tires a little. Went 8.74@80.91 but with a 2.01 sixty ft

Do you have some DR's or Slicks? If you dont I would say you can really do some damage if you did have them. I loved the difference my stall made, and always recomend it as one of the best mods for track duty!

Its my sons car. He is running a set of my old BFG drag radials that have been in the garage since 2004. They still hooked pretty good. I doubt they will when we get rid of the 2:73 gears though.

Change the gearing and you should be looking at some even better improvements.

Update.
This car has now been passed down to my younger son. We added long tubes and true duals with an x-pipe. Fresh plugs and plug wires. Still need to get it tuned, and still running the 2:73 gears. Went 8.46@82.7 with a 1.94 sixty ft.

get a 3.73 or 3.42 gear. that will make the world of difference. I even have a 3.42 gear if you want it. (pm me if you do) but it will be a night and day difference.

Watch out for the rear though, the added gear teeth will be much weaker.

3.42s are strong enough for low 11s in an auto.

Actually, they are strong enough for many high 10 second passes
I have broken two differentials over the years though
