mods are CAI, granatelli MAF, trickflow elbow (not needed, purchased due to rip and future NOS location) . 160 degree thermo, MSD 8.5 wires and msd blaster coil, mid length headers, y pipe cat delete, and computer was reflashed, no speed limiter, higher shift points and cooiling fans on at 180 MPH is off, I hit the brakes to turn, (short shut off area). Still have a 2800 stall , 1.6 R.R's and lt4 valve springs with light wieght retainers. Tires I used were BFG comp drag radial's on stock 5 spoke firebird rims. Left lane by the way. Without hitting brakes I should run a 8 flat

sicker than a dog with the flu. Little man got it friday hit me about 7 last night. Can't even swallow. Let me know how yours does. I will say, tires and proper wires/coil made a nasty difference. it just slingshots off the line now. Not even a squeak, (but it does squeak at the 1-2 shift) I can't recall if you sent pix of yours.

Was just looking at your slip. I know we talked about Mobile's timing before, but this is the first slip Ive seen. To compare with Holt and SGMP (valdosta) your 330 is about 2 tenths slower than mine but by the "594" you are almost 4 tenths FASTER than my averages. BTW, the mph seems about on par with your mods. It could be a little higher with tuning. Hope to see you at Holt today. It should be worth the trip! They have sunday test and tune for the whole month. I should be there every one except next week when Im taking that cruise.

The wife is finally letting me order some MT radials Ill have them by the next TnT. I fixed a vac leak and a MAF problem so Im hoping for 8.3s today with traction. With the MTs, 8.2s shouldnt be too hard. Hope you feel better.

thanx dude, been fighting with myself to go, but the winning argument is work hours lost to being sick. (be easier is wife worked too) Congrads on tires. You'll be very happy. Which ones? I've tried Nitto 555R's and now the bfg Comp drag radial. These Comps are nasty, alot of guys over here are running the Mickey T's street drag radials and running nasty 60 foots. Few sites I found for good pricing are discounttiredirect.com, tire rack
or just used. Damn I wanna go so bad now. What really sux is the camaro runs so cool, is the heater barely blows hot....makes for nice times, ...LOL barely gets above the 160 degrees at 30mph and up; might need to do the ol' cardboard trick. If I wasn't so far away I would have loaned you my BFG's

Side note, figure Mph is also off cause I go thru at 6100 in second ( shifts automatically regardless, if I leave it in 3rd or shift at 5800 manually) at 6200.
So shes outta the power ranage . Looking to pick up some Mph with the V.Springs/light wieght retainers, along with the 1.6 RR's, maybe a nice 2-4 mph improvement before the T/C. I'd love to say I'd be happy with breaking the 7's, but we all know how that goes. Its 7's then 7:8's then mid 7's , never stops.

Your time doesn't add up to me. Your mph is slow for your mods, you should be hitting atleast 82-83. Unless your car is an 89 mph car in the eighth and you hit the brakes before the end, I don't see how you ran an 8.0.

Kreinmc, see my above post. Mobile is known around here for some different times. Some people say the track is shorter, which would account for the really low ET and slightly low mph. Ive never been there, but there site does say it is NHRA. Im not sure what is involved to certify that though.
wyldcdn, well I had a good time at Holt but no better times. I ran a best of 8.59 at 81.70 with 2.0-2.1 60s. I ordered the tires (MT ET radials!) today and I cant wait to really be able to get on this out of the hole. I did get my tuning down pretty damn good, now I might experiment with shift points some more. BTW, the stock tach is WAY off. Do not use that for shift rpm. Mine is about 2-300 off at 5900rpm. Even at idle its about 100 off. Gotta love datalogging and computers!

Auto's with a good converter will run a quicker et with less mph than an equalivent M6 car.

Yeah I know, that doesn't correct his timeslip though. His car with that ET will run 12.5-12.6, but the mph and 60ft will most likely only get him a 13.7.
