Needing some advice on front runner wheels
I need to made a change to lighter front wheels. Right now I am running the stockers.
I am looking at the Weld Draglites and the Weld Prostars. I would like to know a couple of things. First, 3 1/2 width or 5 width? Second, do these clear the brakes or do I have to shim and grind? Third which is lighter, the prostar or the Draglite? Does anybody have the weight measurements on these wheels?

There your weights. I just bought the Weld Draglights 15x3.5 for my car. No grinding is required. You will need to run wheel spacers up front though. Mr. Gasket makes them, they are 5/16 and the Summit Racing part number is MRG-2371. They run $11.95 for the pair. The Weld Draglights run $229.90 for the pair. Part number from Summit is WLD-90-54340. You can buy tires from Pep Boys, they are the Futura 165R15 tires. They run $62.22 for the pair.
Personal opinion: I like Draglights on TA's and Prostars on Z28's.

You can run Bogart rims. They are lighter then the welds. They don't require spacers. They are a direct fit. You don't have to worrry about running longer studs as the stock studs work completly fine. This is much better as if you run long studs, they don't look too good on stock rims. The B/S is better then weld rims as they tuck alittle more.
Only drawback is they are alittle more expensive then the welds BUT if you take in considering that you have to buy spacers, longer studs and appearance isn't as nice, the $$ difference becomes smaller.
Email me if you need more help as I work with Bogart and implemented the whole F-body/Bogart program. You can view some pics on my site of a few cars. The P1 rims are what you would be considering. Anything in the P1 series EXCEPT the RT rim is a direct fit.
