Need track advice
I have a low mile 2000 Z28 with the 6 speed.
I bought a set of Nitto DR's 245/50/16.
What tire pressure should I use at the Track? 21 Psi?
What should I run on the street. 30 PSI?
What RPM range should I drop the Clutch at?
Thanks for your help. I have a bud with a 97 GT that needs a
lesson

Keep them at 21 or higher at the track. With a stick and a stock 10 bolt you want them hard enough to spin them a little so that you don't break the rear. Also try to get the slack out of the drive train before launching. If at 21lbs you spin real bad lower them a little. I'd try about 3200 to 3500 rpm let the clutch out then roll into the gas pedal.
27lbs works good for the street. Any higher and you'll wear the center tread right out.

as far as tire psi, if you want to hook, you can go as low as 15. but most people on here are afraid of breaking somthing so theyll keep the psi a little higher to add a little spin in hopes of not putting as much wear on the rear. on the street, 25-27 is prolly a good spot.
the clutch dumping is just somthing youll have to experiment for yourself to find what works best for you. if youve got the tire pressure real low in order to hook better, you going to want to stay on the high side of 4k. if your babying it, well, youll just have to try your sweet spot.
