need opinions/full bolt on LT1 times------>

this past friday i went back to the track to see if i could finally get some 12 second slips. times in sig were without gears or tune with temp. at around 50* and a slight wind. friday nights temp was 75* and humidity in the 80's. first run was done with the chip and second was without it.

1st

1.755
8.24@82.4
13.05@101

2nd

1.79
8.34@81.73
13.19@???(not recorded)

i put the chip back on after the 2nd run but when i went into the waterbox i got an SES light, and the car wouldnt rev past 3k. i really thought i was gonna hit at least a 12.9@104. but the weird thing is i had my car dynoed that same week before friday night and i only put down 261hp@5400 and 281tq@4300rpm. i have dynoed way more than that before i put on exhaust and all. what do you guys think, what can i do to get into the 12's???

I dont know much about the 93 vehicles........but is it possible you are getting false knock? Mph seems pretty low and you seem to be losing some power somewhere. I don't know if the Lt4 knock module is for 93 cars, but if it is then I would try that out. 12's are close, and I think you should definately have em for your mods.

i can solve the not revving over 3000 part.
If you remove the little piggyback adapter for the aftermarket chip when you put it back on it prolly is one set of pins off.

The the low hp/ low trap may just be one cyl. not firing correctly.
Check the ses light to see what code it threw and check for a burned plug wire or anything like that. good luck

everything works fine now, and i dont have a miss anywhere in the rpm range. i checked all the wires afterwards, and we even scanned the car at my friends house. everything checked out fine except he told me one bank of cylinders wasnt getting the same fuel as the other. im going to change the plugs on the car to autolites and see how it feels. but no more track time till i get full suspension

In all honesty on tires and skinnies the car should already be in the 12s unless you got a high DA up there or some thing
