I have 17'' inch wheels on my car and alot of people tell me thats part of the reason my car isnt hooking like it should. I also have 4.10 gears and Im still running street tires. Not to mention its 30 degrees here right now and that has alot to do with it. Summer time roads hook alot better. Are there anyone here with 17 inch wheels that are pulling really good 60fts with 4.10s? I know I need to get a set of Drag Radials, but what else can I do to hook with these 4.10's and a M6.

I already know that a smaler rim like a 15x9 would hook alot better than these 17's. But I spent alot of money on these rims and I plan on keeping them. I just need some tips on making this baby hook better for the bad winter times. Thanks!!!!

 

Let's see ... cold winter pavement, 4.10s, 17"wheel, street tires and you want to hook better.

About the only advise I can give would be to lower the pressure below what you would normaly consider reasonable, maybe eliminate some of the bounce ... beyond that you're sorta screwed with that set up in those conditions.
