@ ALSS590 I'll grab the numbers when I get home later :-)
@ MIKES 1994Z28 the tires are Hoosier 275-15 drag radials
@ bkpliskin I was thinking the same thing, I've trapped at 104 before, maybe it was the weather, not sure. Tracks at 2100 feet and the DA was almost 4k that night. But yeah seems kinda weak..any ideas?

When's the last time you did a tune up?
What does the MadZ28 tune have you shifting at?
There's a lot of little things that can add up to cost you some MPH in the 1/4.
Your car got some miles on it - how old is the Opti (keep in mind - the cap and rotor are in there ...), what kind of fuel are you running? Any knock retard? If the tire pressure is too low, you will still maybe hook but it has a lot more parasitic drag and will lower 1/4 e.t. & mph.
Just some things to consider.
Other than that - congrats man. 13 year old car, with 160,000+ miles, stock short block, and shes running 12's in full street trim.

k so heres the time slip info
60' 1.895
330' 5.324
1/8 8.241@83.70
1000' 10.795
1/4 12.978@103.13
@HardcoreRM125 last tune was right after the cam, and the opti has about 15k on it (not sure of the make couldnt find any GM numbers on it)
shift points are at "+400rpm from stock"....thats what the tune sheet says
oh and my left header collector was hitting really hard on the trans tunnel brace on accel and launch (potential knock retard perhaps??)
oh and i had the tire psi at 18lbs

I kind of feel like your car should have a little more in it as well. I think it should be trapping 105+ I trapped 102-103 with shorty headers in my 6 speed car. Granted your hooking more off the line, I think you should be closer to a 12.5-12.7@105-108. Any idea what the DA was that night?
Congrats on the 12 second pass though!

shouldn't you not do a burn out unless your on slicks..I heard it actually makes things worse if you do on anything but slicks. Im not sure though. Also im curious of why only one tire is spinning. Sorry i dont mean to be rude im just curious

That's true for street tires but a drag radial is alot closer to a slick that a street tire. Drag radials require a little bit of heat.
