LT1 vs. 02 Mustang
LT1 vs. 02 Mustang
So I decided to go test out my new 3.73's at the track. Completely stock I ran 14.5 @ 96mph so i figured i could cut off at least 1/2 a second with the new gears. Me and an 02 mustang pull up to the line and I walk him all the way down the track until a little after the 1/8 and my car hits the governor because the speedometer is thrown off so bad b/c i havent tuned the computer. Coasting all the way to the finish line i see him fly past me at the very end. I ended up running a 14.6 at 81 mph with a reaction time of .196 with .000 being perfect a 2.12 60 foot and 9.23 1/8 mile at 76.83 mph....Any guesses at what my ET should be with a computer tune. The mustang ended up running a 14.5 at 97
get some nitto 555r i pull a 1.88 60' wit my 2000 z28 with stock stall and 3.73
also remove your front sway bar, front bumper support, easy way to shed 35lbs off the nose free, i did this to my car and now the front end lifts up more slightly and it hooks better, also get the rear lower control arms and and edelbrock torque arm, you will be surprised what kind of difference sus. mods can do, i sure was, do all i just said and then you should be 1.90 60'
and if you want to shed a little more off the nose look at the braille batteries, they are only 11.5 lbs compared to your 35 lbs bat, as long as you don't have a "SYSTEM" in your car the batery will be fine

You still need to work on those 60 ft. times though.
