Ahhhh but you forget, shoe polish is the great equalizer. Having the slower car he will leave first and be in front of the faster car. His buddies will be chasing him.

I'd rather run em down and mash the brake

I seem to have a problem with that. Not with the idea but with the execution. I have a habit to either take too much mov (more than .019) or end up giving the stripe back (like loosing by .000x ouchie mama). I have way more experience racing in the slower car and find it easier to back in on the top end and adjust the mov by taping the brakes. I have a better win ratio having the slower car. But then again, I'm a slow, deep staging sand bagger.

I think we got a little off topic. lol

I was a loyal th350 user for 7 years, and won many races and a track championship with it, but was finally talked into a pg by a friend of mine who builds them. My buddies opinion carries alot of weight with me so I switched at his urging, I picked up .15 with the glide and new converter everything else was the same. All I'm saying is that a pg is the ideal trans for a bracket car, but not the only in my opinion.

Nah, I hope I haven't sounded like this is my first car. No offence taken. My first car was in 1981, A 1970 Camaro with a 396, long gone. However, I am fairly fresh to the small block EFI cars, and lovin' them.

That's what I thought to, but my raceweight is 3300 lbs and with the right converter I picked up .15.
