lowereing my 60's

Any tips on what would help lowering my 60's?

I run consistent 2.1XX

and occasional 2.0XX, and a best of a 2.078.

i have since installed a poly torque arm bushing and a new clutch, I am sure that might help a litle, but nothing special, would say a 1LE panhard rod and 1Le lcas, make a noticeable difference?

I have 3.42s, LSD, 21mm rear sway bar, old *** v6 springs, and stock rear suspension. I want to avoid poly bushings, and tubular LCAs, becuase they are expensive, and will bind in the corners when I go to autocross.

I am saving for a set of Kuhmo V700 vicot racers for autocrossing, they will be sticker then my cheap Cooper cobras 235s, but they do have stiff sidewalls, and will be lower profile. But this will also give me more of a 3.73 rear gearing ratio.

in the meantime do you think it wodl be possible to get me a 1.999 60'? or am I dreaming too muck. I would liek to try and keep it on street tires if possible.

thank you.

poly doesnt bind much, it binds way less then the stock lca's. 1LE uses a rubber stiffer then stock but not a stiff as poly. poly is the way to go imo. reloaction brackets will also help. Boxed poly lca's only cost about 100. im using boxed lca's as well as relocation brackets and did not loose any handeling ability.

Question

I didn't think that V6's had a problem w/ tearing their trans mounts...?

Poly definitely binds a lot more than stock or 1LE LCAs. Didn't you notice that the rear of your car feels flatter and crisper in turns with the poly LCAs? That's bind. They feel like a big rear sway bar because they have a similar effect of not allowing the body to lean because they can't twist like the stock bushings. LCAs that don't bind let the rear pivot more freely so the car doesn't have the binding tight feel in turns. They also will put power down better in turns because they aren't trying to pick up the inside tire as the car leans.

The best way to go is LCAs with a rod end on one end and poly on the other. Best of both worlds.

Relocation brackets definitely help straight line traction. I just put some on my car and while I haven't gone to the track with them yet, my street tires hold much much better on the street. If I don't get into the throttle too suddenly, I can actually use first gear on the street. Without the brackets, I couldn't go more than 1/2 throttle or so on the street without spinning the tires. I'm hoping that they will get me .05 in the 60-foot. Got a good friend who just beat my best time with a 12.22, so I gotta make up a little time somewhere

I put an es poly tranny mount on my v6 and recently when i took it out i noticed that the actuall crossmember where the single hole is has literally ripped and bent from all that mighty v6 torque.
