inside your enclosed pics?
I don't have any pics but first thing is a winch mounted to the floor in the front. I have brackets for my floor jack, brackets for some bag chairs and pop-up, and a must have is the door mount caddy (I got mine from Sumitt) it has places for oil bottles and a bar to put paper towel rolls on with a flip down cover to keep the stuff in while on the road that doubles as a shelf when it's open.

Well I ended up getting an empty 28' also.......
I have a plan, 2 foot bases 36" ht. in an L shape....left side will stick out 4-5 ft.
Uppers are going to stick out 1 ft. just like regular cabinets, but I'm going to built them like mobile home cabinets.....just build the faces, fur up some suports for the top (probly a laminate top) that will keep them light.
Also the guy at the trailer place said to leave a gap and cualk it...the trailers flex.
Plan on alot of pitpal stuff too...just buy a pc. here and there. And probly keep a 35 gal drum of fuel in there also...so I will make some type of holder for that.
Josh what trailer did you get? I got a haul;mark race trailer 28'....My old truck was working hard pulling it too.....7.3L f-250......that 28' is alot heavier than a 24' but I needed for a golf cart...

Mines a used one, 28' '01 Racemaster-built by Haulmark i guess
guy wanted $5K for it and i towed it home for $4200 so i dont think i went wrong on it, anything will be better than my open trailer

Friend of mine has a buddy that builds trailers and found out we can get roof air units for either $350/400 each for the thing, i'll know more wendsday, but i told him to go ahead and order me one regardless since i need it, called and told osme other buddies about it to try and get a big ordered placed to see if we could knock a wee bit more off, but they all laughed and said why would we need one, yours will have it
LOL!!
I've pretty much cemented my plans, just need all this godforsaken snow to melt and warm up, but here's my plans:
*Epoxy with sharkskin addative to the floor to seal that up and make it look nice
*getting some tight nap (like speaker box carpeet) and going to run that 3' up from the floor around the perimeter of the trailer interior walls and cap it with a small aluminum trim piece...seen a guys trailer like that and it looked schweet and makes sense for door dinging protection.
*6' base cabs with aluminum counter top (1/2" ply wrapped with aluminum top/bottom my sign guys uses for making business signs along the front left corner
*6' wall cabs above base cabs
*roof a/c
*same aluminum wrapped plywood to make a closet in the front right corner-30" x 36" and i already have my piece list for installing a RV toilet, and am going back and forth about making this area larger and installing a RV shower pan for a make shift shower..but then i have to add a propane tank/small water heater so i dunno, but it'd beat track showers anyday even being small.
*winch naturally-going to mount it on the floor in/under the one base cabinet, install a recessed D ring in the center of trailer floor to hook a pulley to so i can run winch line out and 90* to car should i need it...keeping it out of the center allows sooo much more storage.
*debating getting a futon to keep in there or saving my pennies for either the trailer fold up bunk beds/or fold up double bed that also folds down into a couch...they're think enough to mount them above the inner fenders if you want and not hinder too much space (7") thick when folded up...but i dunno, futon would be a PITA since it's big, but spending $800 on a fold up bed of either choice is pricey too..what'da do.
*running more outlets along counter top to plug laptop, microwave, dorm fridge, small TV/dvd into. i would like to install 4 outlets on exterior so guys can plug into me and have 1 generator going instead of a bunch, plus if a guy needs to use a battery charger for some reason, the power is there.
*get another contractor compressor with hose reel so i can finally get away from stupid air tanks.
*this is a wish, but i would like to get a 18' awning for the passenger side so when the suns beating down i can pull the car under it, or just have a place to set up chairs and stay cool if we choose to sit and actually watch the race for once
*i dont know as if i'll buy any pitpal stuff, I can get sheet alumium pretty cheap from the local roundy round store in any color i want, I have a brake heavy enough to bend whatever and my buddy has a pan break, so i can make all of thier products for less than a 1/8 of the price they sell it for...gotta save a wee bit somewhere since we're gonna be dropping another $2K to get all this **** done minus the awning, shower, and built in beds, and i've never understood how this pit pal stuff costs so much, most would take me or you about 20 minutes to cut/bend up since it's soo primative.
ahhh, my fingers are tired now LOL!!!

Well I'm poor so I will just put an air matress in the cabinet.....
What are you pulling it with?
I have an IDI 7.3L ford and want to get a turbo kit ($1800) it needs it...but I own everything and don't want a truck pmt. so I think thats my best bet for now.....
You have big plans josh, I'm going to do the same thing with the winch, I may consider a closet type thing for clothe jacket helmet etc.
We talked about the awning and can get a 20' one that matches the trailer for $900 installed so I'm not sure about that yet. Seeing as I could put that 900 towards the turbo thing...

I just got some pitpal stuff off ebay...
I know I could make it but I just have so much other stuff going on its easier to just buy it.
I've been running an open for 8 yrs, and it's going to be exactly when i bought the cube van for work...WTF did'nt i buy this earlier. The ability to come home, unhook and go about my day...i'm an idiot for not doing it yrs ago, but just like building our cars, I dont think many of us have unlimited budgets so it's a progression thing.
Most everything i want is all local and just a rough tally when i took last friday to price all this out around town and get stuff lined up is only about $2K in parts, so in reality it's not that bad considering the only reason I'm setting up a mini living quarters is for my wife/daughter, not to mention gas aint getting cheaper and being able to stay i the white brick over a weekend when racing out of town/state will help cut down on costs by eliminateing hotel fees...I'm a guy, we've done the futon with a fan or ceramic heater running for the weekend with my best bud, but my wife...i have to make it kind of accomodating ya know?? but on the same token we have been looking at getting an RV-something in the 26-30' class C chasis, late 90's to early early '02 range to keep price in check, so i dunno...it's like, why set this thing up with living quarters when we'll probably end up getting an RV this spring anyhow and i could use the extra money i would use to finish this off to buy a trailer toad or something...just like building a car..too many descions
and ahhhh, well, ahhh, I have'nt let her in that i bought it yet and made up an excuse as to why we're putting the whole house carpet on hold
we just got into an arguement the other night about i buy what i want when i want and she does'nt get that luxury...i told her to get a better paying job
just sucks, I need more room, that's my biggest dilema right now. my place is full, I have more stuff at 3 family members places, and now i have this parked at a buddies shop and will be able to keep it at another freinds during next winter...i just need an acrage.

I have'nt weighed the trailer yet, but i can imagine after all this is said and done the trialer weighing much more than 9-10,000lbs.My cube van i keep most of our tools in is the 7.3IDI. Great reliable engine, but without the trubo, yeah, she lacks a little bit of power
i average 14mph with my 11,000 brick with no overdrive, and darn near the same towing my open trailer, but a turbo kit would be nice for it, but i'll never do it. Most of my work stuff is about paid off so pending no major equipment purchases this summer I'll most likely get a newer F350 with the diesel to add to the fleet just because...the V10 has proven to be a good engine, but the diesels just flat out tow better in the overall scheme of things.
Josh give me some idea on flooring.
I was thinking sheet flooring....but everyone is telling me not to it will rip....So then I thought rubber tile.....but thats really expensive.
So this other guys trailer I saw he used some paint/epoxy stuff and did his black.....Thats didn't look too bad.
If I do the sheet flooring I don't want it to rip up.......sO I guess I would need to put runners down, not sure what would happen with the gold cart.....

I run the industrial laminate flooring. The kind you see in big wear houses. I'll post pictures in a minute.
I wouldn't waste the money on the pit pal stuff. It is so much easier to build your own custom stuff for way cheaper.
I was about to post this in this forum for all of the trailer guys, but if you are about ready to pick up a generator for the trailer, look at the Champion brand from Kragen (or whatever its called in your area). They are CHEAP but extremely nice for the price. They sell a 4000w one that is on sale right now for $200. It has a built in RV plug for running a trailer. It is super popular on the RV forums (google the brand) and people have been running them for years. Mine is real quiet and has been doing great this past season.
