Time Trials were Friday, One on Saturday AM (which I missed due to a fire in the car in the pits), and first round of eliminations was Saturday afternoon (which I won).

Sunday round two of eliminations I lit the red eye against my opponent. What you saw was an exhibition run and IHRA only turns the timers on for 1/8 mile although my opponent and myself ran it out the back door anyway as we both had spectators with us for IHRA's "Ride of your Life" program.

I wish I had been able to stay in eliminations a bit longer but in reality it was the first time back on the track this year (since last years nationals).

The fire on Saturday AM was caused by a hot lead that rubbed raw under the carpet. I now have no carpet left in the back half of the car.

Fortunately I was not in the vehicle when it happened and actually the car had been turned off following the Saturday AM warm up so there was no real damage except for about 18 feet of number 8 strnaded wire, the carpet, and a huge mess once IHRA doused everything with their fire truck.
