The bumper cover is off, but it looks like the supports are riveted into place. Is there any way to drop them "cleanly" or must they be hacked off?


Not to sound like a jerk, but let's get this out of the way up front. I ask how to remove these things, not why you think it's a safety hazard.

Shouldn't be too hard to take off. The last three I've taken off were bolted onto the frame butts. 13mm or 14mm bolt IIRC.

 

Should be held on by 3 nuts on each side. I believe you are just trying to take the honeycomb material off. Most remove the hole bracket (metal and all).
