How are my times?

Took the car out for the first time since I had some work done.

94/Formula a4 3.23
2800TCI
228/236/ 114 /571 (Springs, Pushrods)
1.6RR
58mm T/B
Portmatched intake
Vortech Elbow
Cai
Edelbrock Headers & y-pipe
SLP Loudmouth
High flow cat(Carsound)
Lt1 Edit
Nittos
1st pass 14.1@105 2.7 60ft Used the stall
2nd pass 13.7@104 2.3 60ft Used the stall
3rd pass 13.3@103 2.2 60ft
4th pass 13.2@103 2.1 60ft
Last pass of the day 13.1@104.5 // 60ft 1.96

I was leaving the line at 800-1000rpms. If I load the converter
I blow up the tires.

Let me know! Thanks

Not bad but you need to get those 60 foots down and then you will see some high 12 second time slips!

If you already have sticky tires then work on the suspension.
There are plenty of cars like yours running quicker times. Have faith, you'll get there!

Something seems wrong. Your mph is way low! You should be close to 110mph trap speeds without a problem.

I look at his times and say wow thats what I was running last year at about that mph.....all I changed from last year was went to long tubes & true duals , meziere, and pcm forless, w/305, thats from edelbrocks,w/ypipe, and hypertech.....I think it has alot to do with the headers myself, 13.3 was my best at 104 , thats with No stall, to 12.5 so far this year at 110.30 w/no stall...so look into some long tubes and I believe you will get the numbers you are looking for....those edels are killing you...just my.02

Thanks for the replys!

I know the Edelbrocks are no good but here in California the
smog laws are so strict that I don't want to get pulled over and
inspected and get flagged to a smog Ref.

After my next smog I will get some Longtubes.

Is the MPH low for a a4?

Thanks

I do not have much knowledge of automatics but it is normal for one to trap 87.5 in the eigth and 104.5 in the quarter?

Not trying to offend anyone just wondering.

Where were you running, Carlsbad? Try some ET Streets and you will probably cut that 60' time down quite a bit.

The low mph is due to the exhaust being corked up. Not much you can do about that in California except get a professional tune so you aren't running too rich. My guess is that you get some black smoke whan you get on it and that would be too much fuel.

N/A I run 87-88 in the 1/8 and 107-108 in the 1/4.

104-105 seems a little low

Maybe he needs more fuel top-end?

You are going to be trapping alot higher as you have a LS1 and the haeds on the LT1 don't flow half what the stock LS1 heads do.

Next up Heads and Longtubes!

Thanks

I was just wondering. Not trying to bash him or make it sound bad.

I run 86-88 mph in the 1/8 and 107-109 in the quarter generally. But I am also a M5 car.
