how to improve?

http://i39.tinypic.com/wn3hu.jpg

talked to a friend of mine, and he told me that it looks like it moves out great on the low end (i agree), but it needs to get new heads and increase the top end.

Car is basically cam only, bolt on 211/219 LPE cam with 1.5 RRs.

What muffler? Can you pull it at the track? Maybe put a little money into the heads, basic port clean-up, pocket porting and a good valve job. Maybe have them milled and use the Impy gasket. Why not invest in some 1.6 roller rockers too. Car been tuned?

car has a glasspack at the end of the y, its not hurting it any

we're trying to keep it cam only, so trying to stay away from the heads, and car has been tuned. trans just pretty much blew up tonight, so, were wondering if getting that done will help.

Sounds like it runs well and it 60fts good.

TransGo shift kit should help along with making it full manual.

It's picking up 20.82 in the last half of the track. There might be more power in the tuning or maybe we can hope the trans was eating itself on that pass also..

Pull more weight out of it, Drag rims/tires with skinnies up front and Hoosier drag radials out back can be an 80+lb reduction.

Goodluck!

well guys, we are putting in a cc503 cam, 4.30 gears, and a th350.

We shall see how it works out, the gears will get us 112 at the stripe at the limiter in 3rd. See if we can break into 11's with it.

You'll need a new converter also if you go to a th350.. will you do something closer to a 4000 stall?

I thought you meant muffler not glasspack. Sounds like you have it all worked out. Good luck.
