Hello 12's, nice to meet you FINALLY!!!!

holy hell on earth it's AWESOME to go to a killer track that hooks!!!! I don't care that I had to drive 3 hours to get there (stayed the weekend)...

We rented Bradenton Motorsports Park, only cost us about $35 a person for 70 cars

Got 18 runs in... I smacked two 12 second passes, the rest were 13.0's, but what do I care I got my 12's

First pass of the day in very cool weather...

12.951 @ 104.03 1.724 60'

Much later in the day in warm weather (i couldn't believe it)

12.917 @ 103.81 1.704 60'

All this on Nitto drags, and the only weight reduction was my two rear hatch panels w/ the speakers, spare tire, jack..

YES, i still have my swaybar on. I hit my goal, and I couldn't be happier. Next I need my hotcam to reach my next (undetermined) goal

(yes i'm happy)

Good Runs Man.

The first time you hit 12s really makes you feel good. I like having my car go the first 12 second pass better than when it went the first 11 sec pass. Something about those 12s just feel good when you are getting started.

Congrats! Feels good doesn't it? I went to the track hoping for a 12.99 and came home with a 12.77...that felt really good.

Throw a cam in there and some ET streets and you should be in the low 12s. Nice pic BTW...that thing is launching hard! I'd kill for a 1.7.

It is a sweet feeling.. kinda like a good starting to point to "getting faster.."

13's were easy, 12's I had to work for

97bowtie.. thanks man, get a good 60' out of that beast and put that MPH to work for some low 12's

1.7's are FUUUUN!!!

Eddie..

are you pulling the front wheels w/ those 1.6x short times? I was curious about that

check out this pic of me racing my friend's formula.. the car got out even harder in this pic.. looks like a mean shot hehe too bad i was on the far side of the pic.

When I cut 1.6x 60ft times it picks both my tires up about 4-7 inches, I say 4-7 because my driver side picks up higher than my passenger side tire. But they both pick up off the ground. I have only felt the tires touch the ground after lifting up one time. Usually it happens so quick you can't tell. On nitrous runs the 60fts improve and the tires go up a little higher.

BTW, Javier- that is a nice picture man. Looks really mean. I saved it as my wallpaper.<----- I know, I know. I drive a Ford. I constantly change my wallpaper and the cars on it. I don't care who makes a car that is fast, I like the car for what it is not whose name it carries.

well i've got stock springs/shocks all the way around... so after about 130 passes and 72k miles I think the back springs are getting soft hehe...

really the only thing I have done are the BMR lca's and a hotchkis panhard.. swaybar is still in place

my friend's formula is an automatic w/ stock stall, that was like a 1.9 60' tho.. he's got about 120k miles on stock beatup springs hehe... no suspension mods..

btw that track HOOKED like a ****.. u should have been here

Hmmm... Thought you looked familiar.

Again, congrats on hitting the 12's Javier! Feels great, doesn't it?

Your car does launch hard. I'd kill for some 1.7 60's, dang autos ! I watched you and Gunny going at it a few times -- great runs.

I agree, the track was hooking better than it ever has. I didn't have a single spin all day, never been able to say that before! My best for the day was a 12.698@109.7. The weather could have been a little cooler, but I can't complain, I was about 1 tenth and 1MPH off my best.

I've already gotten with Alan, the owner, about setting up a reoccuring event (atleast 2 times a year). He's game, just gotta see about scheduling.

Look forward to meeting, and actually talking, to you next time .

Marty

Marty.. definitely man... I don't think I realized who you were towards the end of the day and things got so nutty towards then that I didn't get a chance to say hello.... (my battery died b/c i left my fan switch on for almost an hour.. fortunately a quick jump started it right back up)

Anywho.. you'd kill for my 1.7's and i'd kill for your 12.5-12.6's hehe... definitely can't wait to head up there again.. although I don't think I'll have any mod changes b4 then :-x but soon enough i hope

Javier97Z28- Could you tell me the 1/8 time/mph for your 12.917 @ 103.81 1.704 60' run?

97ChameleonTA- Could you tell me your 1/8 time/mph for your 12.698@109.7 run?

I normally go to the local track that is only the 1/8. And wondering what a 12.91 and 12.69 run equal out in the 1/8 for y'all.
