Ok here ya go.. I am back.. the elusive 12.9 is still hiding but I know I can do it.. With tire alone I know I will be mid 12's.

First run (straight from the 60+ mile drive) 6:08PM:
60' - 2.221
330 - 5.914
1/8 - 8.861
MPH - 84.15
1000 - 11.372
1/4 - 13.483
MPH - 106.87
Bogged hard off the line..

Second run 6:14PM:
60' - 2.161
330 - 5.784
1/8 - 8.699
MPH - 85.00
1000 - 11.189
1/4 - 13.283
MPH - 107.68
Launched at about 2700-3000, didnt spin, didnt bog but it could of had a bit more rpms..

Third run 6:21PM:
60' - 2.104
330 - 5.693
1/8 - 8.601
MPH - 85.25
1000 - 11.085
1/4 - 13.174
MPH - 108.00
Launched at about 3000.. still felt it could use more..

The last two runs were down hill..
My clutch slipped badly when I went for 2nd and then I cooled the car down.. It didnt get better so I called it a night and came home.. Hopefully the clutch isnt going..

Car is still fully stock.. Replacement street tires are on (Yokohama AVS ES 100s.. they performed wonderfully and didnt spin much if at all.. good track prep too..)

The car weighted in with me in it and a full tank of gas that was driven 12 miles at 3630LBS..

Nice times. What's your plan for the 12.9's. I'm looking forward to seeing what times I can run this weekend with my hoosier qtp's.

My plan for 12.9's? Just drive better.. I will get 1.9's out of street tires and I should have the times follow.. with 2.1's down to 1.9s on a 13.1 pass that would be a 12.9 easy..

Nice times. That track must not be crowded at all, seeing how your runs were all made like 10 min. apart, that's great. My runs are about an hour apart.

My best 60' to date is a 2.208, so I need to figure out a way to get that down in order to get a better time.

On wednesday nights its Bracket racing nite.. so if you get there early enough, you get a very good track to run on as only a handful of people are there and ready.. having a daily driver, its just a matter of going through tech, then staging and after your runs staging again.. until the car says "Cut it out!" hehe

On fridays it gets packed but its still is only about 35-45 btw runs on a packed nite.. I always go early so I can get good hot runs and then the cool down runs later in the nite... Just wasnt expecting the darn clutch to heat up..

Get your 60' down to sub-2.0 and you'll get a 12 sec. slip.

IMO, you won't be doing it on that clutch though.

Same thing happened to me in Bradenton at a track rental. Clutch was fine the day before, threw the DRs on and just like that (after a couple passes), the clutch didn't grab for s**t anymore. It got worse and worse from then on. Normal driving was fine but at WOT, it was slipping on the 2-3 and 3-4 shift.

Good luck next time...but I'd think about replacing that clutch pretty soon, if you plan on hitting the track again (soon). Of course, I could be wrong and your clutch may be fine. Give it another shot but if it happens again, that clutch is done racing.
