Got to ask "what do you think it will run?"

Well, what do you think my car will run. I just got it together and can't get to the track for a couple of weeks so I'm interested in what you guys think it might run?

hard to say really not knowing what type of head work, it sounds like a very mild 383 any where from low 12's to low 13's ???

why did you go with LS1 injectors?

They were not by choice. The 383 was already in the car. He said they were 30 pound injectors. Then I had the part number checked and they turned out to be 28 pound LS-1 injectors but thats at 53psi. So they end up being 25 pounders at 43 psi.

12.8 @ 110mph with traction, is my guess.

Ok, ran it today heres what it did.

Run #1
60' 1.876
330' 5.222
1/8 7.974
MPH 89.04
1000' 10.372
1/4 12.395
MPH 111.74

Run #2
60' 1.866
330' 5.206
1/8 7.965
MPH 88.95
1000' 10.365
1/4 12.400
MPH 110.55

Run #3
60' 1.812
330' 5.1.65
1/8 7.927
MPH 88.89
1000' 10.332
1/4 12.385
MPH 109.55

I going to install 3:73 gears, underdrive pulley, subframe connectors, torque arm, and 15 X 10 pro stars with ET Streets. What else can I do to make it to the 11's with bolt ons?

Currently, your car makes about 447 flywheel hp. Very stout, I'd like to hear and see it run. Congratulations.

With the help of the pro stock et formula and quarter jr you'll need to add 4-5 mph to get to the 11s. At this level that's about 40-50 hp. No easy task.

The 3.73 gear is worth a tenth and 2 mph.

A 3500 stall converter is worth about a tenth.

Those are some pretty expensive changes.

From your fastest MPH pass that puts you at about 12.20, you'll still need to add about 20 hp to get to the 11s.

We're really splitting hairs now, but I'd say if you knew your car wasn't detonating disabling the knock module would be worth 10 hp and removing the accessory belt altogether would get you the other 10 hp. But, not everyone wants to play around like I do. The aforementioned cutout might add 10 hp.

You don't mention a cooler stat. As you can see from your fastest first pass cooler temps result in higher hp (guessing it was the coolest).

You also appear to have a traction problem, your third pass is the quickest et with the lowest MPH. MPH is the indicator of hp. Get the car to hook like it did on the third pass every time. If that's not an error you should run 12 teens right now. All other conditions must remain the same from that pass.

For shoots and giggles you might want to look at removing some weight. Two hundred pounds would get you .2 and be easier on drivetrain parts. Search weight reduction on this website, there are some great ideas out there.

As for bolt ons to get you there, I just don't know. I don't buy them.

On the weight issue, LS1.com has a great "weight removal" list in the drag section. I can't remember who started the thread but you should be able to find it pretty easily. There are a LOT of easy weight reductions that won't affect drivability that much, if any.

Thanks Guys, I will check into putting my car on a diet! Each run I did I tried launching a little harder. I will be able to match and better my third time. I do have a 160 deg. thermostat. I'm hoping with the 3:73's and ET Streets I will be able to lower my 60' time by a couple of tenths, what do you think? Again thanks for all the valuable input

You should try unhooking the front sway bar. It's just two bolts, and it could help your launch quite a bit.

OK, put in 3:73's, underdrive pulley, subframe connector, torque arm, and Pro Stars with ET Steet's. Here's what it ran.

1st run
60' 1.728
330' 4.980
1/8th 7.691
MPH 90.21
1000' 10.050
1/4 12.042
MPH 113.39

2nd run (Hit the rev limiter)
60' 1.802
330' 5.060
1/8th 7.786
MPH 89.40
1000' 10.170
1/4 12.190
MPH 111.69

3rd run
60' 1.742
330' 4.981
1/8th 7.684
MPH 90.42
1000' 10.047
1/4 12.051
MPH 112.35

4th run
60' 1.770
330' 4.995
1/8th 7.694
MPH 90.64
1000' 10.044
1/4 12.028
MPH 113.65
I even won my race on my 4th run, but my wife had to work so I had to leave. I think its time for a higher stall? I'm just hoping I don't have or can fix the not wanting to shift issue I've heard about. What RPM stall do you guys recommend.

Thanks for all your input, as you can see it helps
