Gauges?
Gauges?
When bracket racing a stock LT1, with an A4, is there any point in monitoring fuel pressure and vacuum? I just picked this car up and it’s got one of those goofy gauge pods on the A-pillar (goofy to an old guy like me anyway) with the aforementioned gauges.
Since the car is all stock, the factory oil pressure, temp and voltage gauges should be good enough. Should I…
A. Get rid of the gauges and pod because they bug me
B. Keep the gauges and pod ‘cause that’s darn important data on one of these modern hot rods
C. Keep the pod but replace the vacuum and fuel pressure gauges with __________ and __________ gauges.
Thanks,
Finn

fuel pressure is a good thing to keep tabs to let you know if the pump is dying, and since it's there........
as far as vacuum, nah,i would swap it for a collant temp guage to keep precise tabs on how hot/cold it is round to round.
