first time for the track this weekend
Re: first time for the track this weekend
Go on the 3rd yellow. It usually takes your brain, foot, and car a little to get sequenced so if you hit the throttle on the 3rd yellow light you shoul hit a good tree. If its set up for pro tree. Where all 3 yellows light at the same time then it goes green hit the throttle when you see all 3 light up. Relax. Dont be jumpy. Forget about the people watching in the stands. Play the radio if it helps you relax. I'd bet your car will go anywhere from 8.9-9.3s@77-80mph. Depends on how well you do. Oh and dont just floor it out of the hole on street tires. Roll into the throttle and try not to spin the tires as much as possible.

Check out my times in sig...I had some knock retard on the 9.xx runs when it was mostly stock. Ive seen most stockish A4LT1s run 9.0-9-3s, mostly depending on the 60. My friends 95 would go 9.0 at 78 all day long with a 2.00 60. Im not the lucky
Re: first time for the track this weekend
Just kinda curious and i dont mean to offend anyone if it does but whats the deal with the 1/8mile? I can understand if you run the 1/4 you got an idea where your car makes power i.e. 60ft, 330ft, 1/8, 1/4. Sometimes at our track if it drizzles a little bit they close the 1/4 and only run the 1/8 and then i go home.
Re: first time for the track this weekend
I cant speak for everyone, but I have no control of who decides to build a track at a certain location and how long they want it to be. I just use it. And 1/4 tracks are far more scarce than 1/8th mile tracks. I can get to 2 or 3 1/8th tracks and still be hours away from a 1/4. I was spoiled living by Desoto in FL for all those years.
Re: first time for the track this weekend
The best time i yet to run a my stock A4 in a 1/8 was 9.14 @ 78.4 mph, with a 60 foot of 2.1. Only thing i have done is a 3 in catback. Most of my times were 9.1-9.5
