First time to the track (times inside)

My best was:

R/T ....................605
60 ft..................2.117
1/8th mile..........9.238
1/8th mph..........77.35
1/4 mile.............14.270
mph...................97.64

Thats with flowmaster as my only mod and my stock airbox removed. I was looking at some other guys 60fts and they had like 2.3 60fts running high 13's. I guess the Houston Raceway Park must prep the track pretty damn good or something.

Hey do go by how many people post back.
Look and see how many views.
So far 50 people have looked to see what you ran.
Now if you had 0 views then you could say something.

First drop the 60' down. You might not be launching the best way or slipping. Once you do that, and get it into the high 1.9's, then you would probably be in the 13's. What was the weather like when you ran?

That's about what my car was running stock. That's still about what my car is running modded although I have 1 wheel peel and can't get it to hook even with my drag radials. Looks like you've got an average base going there.

Not bad for your first time out..... Work on your reaction time and 60' times.... The times are normal with an A4, stock eng, and 3.23 gears...

whats wrong with a .605 R/T(damn good for a beginner if you ask me)
R/T also has nothing to do with 1/4 mile times

Your times are not to bad the mph is a little low but that could be todo with weather conditions.
My Z was a real turd stock the best I ran with it was 14.47@96mph with the 273 gears but since then it has responded well to mods

Thanks, my friend has that hand held eliminator thing, that you practice your reaction times on. I play with that thing almost everyday.

i'd say pretty good numbers. i ran my 3rd-6th passes tonight my best to date was the last run tonight.
R/T .047
60' 2.107
1/8 ET 9.029
1/8 MPH 79.21

it was an 1/8 mile strip. my car is a 97 A4 with 3.23s and practically no mods on street tires. i was trying to hit the high 8's but the track closed after my 3rd pass. keep practicing you will only get better.

Dude are you leaving before the first yellow light or something?
You do know that a .500 is a perfect light right?

What like no yellows just a green or what.I`ve heard of a .200 protree,a .400 pro tree,a .500 pro tree and a regular .500 tree but thats all I`ve heard of.Any links to track websites that use this timing method?I would like to look into it further.

Indianapolis raceway park is like that.
Everything is exactly the same except that the reaction time counter clock starts on the green instead of on the 3rd yellow. Prestage, stage, yellow, yellow, yellow, green.

NHRA now uses the .000 perfect light and a red light is a -.001 or lower. It used to be .400 for a pro tree, and believe it still is .500 for a sportsman tree.

What gears do you have? What elevation is the track at? Those times are pretty good if you have 2.73s. The first thing I'd do would be to get a CAI. You should be in the 13s with that and maybe a 2.00 60'.
