First time at the track
First time at the track
It's about time I take my car. I'm going wednesday night. What do you think I should run with my mods? Fastest thing I've killed on the street was a 5speed Mach 1 and It was only by two cars at 80. I have a Ramclutches clutch with about 3000miles on it and I have no Idea where to launch it at. I feather it on the street with minimal wheelspin but i'm not "really" launching. I have attempted to launch at 2k and it's just mad wheelspin. I'll be running very grippy radials on stock 16s. Should I lower the tire pressure a tad? How should I launch? Any help is appreciated, Nick.
Re: First time at the track
I'm gonna say low 13's at around 108 mph......being that I dont think your gonna get much grip with street tires. Get some drag radials or et streets and see 12's for sure if your car is running right.
Re: First time at the track
Yep if you had some sticky tires it could shave a considerable amount off your expected time.
With stock radials I wouldnt lower them more than a few PSI as it willdistort your contact patch and make traction worse!!
I can't answer the radial tire six speed launch question, never done it onthe track...lol
