First time to the track....

Not too bad of a day, my 60's could have been better, and I almost got my goal for 12's. Best was 13.09@107.6 w/ 1.97 60'. That was with hardly any mods. Basically lid/filter, smooth bellow, muffler, free mods. Oh, and I did it with full leather interior, didn't take out spare/jack, and I have 4 17x11" ZR1s. Not too shabby. I know she's got 12's in her as is, with some lost weight and better 60' (should get 1.8x with these Nitto DR's). I'm also planning on a stall between now and the EFA Shootout. So yeah, decent day

Edit: I just thought I'd add... off the line I stalled her up pretty good, but only gave it half throttle for fear of spinning. I got perfect traction though, so I was going to try full throttle off the line. Well, there was too long of a break before my last run and the track cooled, so I spun after trying full throttle. Once I get to a better track (MIR) I'll get better traction for sure.

Yeah, she's mean all right. The car definately follows the grooves in the road. I'm in the process of trading my two front 11's for a friends 9's. Good deal for him, all he's gotta do is cover the cost for me to mount and balance.

But yeah, I WAS planning on a 'verter, but now it looks like I won't have the money till May, so I might just spend some $$$ right now and get a cutout and a pulley. We'll see

All the aftermarket Intakes for LS1s I have seen were pretty pricy , makin gth LS6 look like a virtual bargain. Good times though for the first time at the track.

Less than 2 months before the track opens here, just need to get the engine broken in and get synthetics in her.

It's funny to see a post by "RS Dragster" saying it's your first time at the track.

Atco has been open for T&T and gambler's races for over 3 weeks now. The first points race is Saturday. My car isn't going to make it - unfortunately. Too much left to do and the $$$$ is gone.

I know what you mean. But of course, I don't have the RS anymore, so I'm not an "RS" Dragster, but a "TA Dragster"

Robvas, yeah, I still have the stock 3.23s in. I only got 4 runs in. I got two 13.0s, a 13.2, and a 13.4.

For the intake comments: I'm glad the LSX intake came out. There should be a plethora of Z06 intakes for cheap sometime soon, once more people start selling theirs for an LSX. '

But yeah, I've got some more mods coming, so that's good. I was hoping to have a stall here soon, but I'm not sure that'll happen. I'm thinking I'll only get a cut-out, pulley, and do some suspension work. Either way, I'm hoping for mid 12s.

It's not about the RS or the TA stuff though - it's the dragster part. When I see that word I think of a dragster.

Welcome to your new addiction though.
