First Time Racing

Yeah I went out to the track today with some people. My first time ever dragging and all that. Here is my best timeslip:

60' ... 2.230
330 ... 6.103
1/8 ... 9.246
MPH ... 78.81
1000 ... 11.916
1/4 ... 14.181
MPH ... 100.15

Ok, I was really hoping I would get into the 13s, and I think I would have been able to with a few more runs, but I am not all that upset considering this was my first time ever dragging, and I ran on my stock 245mm tires, 50k miles, 35psi. The tires would not hook very well at all, and I know it isn't just my launching ability. I was scraping in 2nd and 3rd but I think 4th gear was good. I think with drag radials and some more launching practice I should be able to get 13.9xx. What do you guys think?

If you get your 60 ft to at least a 2.0 then you should be at a 13.8 or so. But beware... the rear ends on M6 cars have a tendancy to break when you run DRs which is the best way to get better traction.

drop the front sway bar and get some stickier tires. That should get you the the 13's alone. You should also look into some suspension mods. Lca's and subframe connectors.
