first time out

k so i have a 95 camaro Z28 with the 6speed.
its completely stock.

here is what i ran my first and best run of the night:
reaction - 0.442
60' - 2.451
1/8 - 9.606
mph - 77.33

1/4 - 14.646
mph - 97.88

now i got three other runs of the night. each one getting progressively slower. i just had problems with traction really.. the next two runs i had 2.6 60' times and id ont even want to mention the last.
my reaction times, however, improved. i got 0.018 and 0.056 reactions
and those two runs i ran a 14.8@98mph

so for all you guys out there with bone stock LT1s expect to run mid-high 14s... if i coulda got traction i know id be way faster.. i think im going to get some factory wheels and put some nice tires on them for the occasion when i go to the track. i want it to look stock and be streetable cause ill drive to the track with them on. any reccomendations on a good tire for this purpose? i dont want to blow out my rear end though so im scared of getting slicks.

Nitto or bfg drag radials. they will drop that 60' waaaaay down! Plus they are totally streetable, i always drive around with mine everywhere. I sometimes think they are better for all conditions than most normal tires. Until they get bald

I agree, I've got the nittos and can dead hook from a stop. And they work great in all weather conditions , well so far lol...

Re: first time out

I would practice your launching for starters. Then as already mentioned, a good set of tires will work wonders for you as well.
