i recently bought a 94 z28 camaro it has performance exhaust.a chip.and ls1 powered.

so over the weekend my dad ran the car cause i have no licence yet.first pass he had .216 light a 2.05 60ft. 9.08 eighth mile at 75.80 mph and a 14.14 at 97.55.

second pass-.122 red.
2.108 60ft
9.141 eighth mile at 77.09 mph
14.216 at 97.11 mile an hour

final pass- .045
2.08 60ft
9.110 1/8th mile at 77.21 mph
14.174 at 97.17 in the quarter

would any body say there is room for improvement??

If its a tuned ls1 with a cold air intake/exhaust your missing about 7-11mph and around a full second off the et. Now if your at at 4400ft the times will make sense.
Whats your location?
Who did the motor swap?

Are you sure its not a LT1,a maybe a high milage one? (100k+). It would make sense if it is and a auto 2.73 gear but otherwise you are having some issues.

The 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile traps is on the lower end, but the et for 97 mph is normal.

There is much room for improvement. Tell us more info.

I figured an Ls1 would run better than that...

The guys are right. It seems the times posted would be more in line with a LT1 and the mods listed.

My '94, with just headers, drag radials, cold air, and a short throw shifter ran consistent 8.6s at 81mph in the 1/8 mile...

I suspect that "performance exhaust" is a cat back system and not headers... Headers will make a fair difference in performance.

A set of drag radials will help get the sixty foot time down as well as a gear change to 3.73s.

The '94 does not come with a "chip" but is a flash programmable computer.

If you actually have an LS1 engine you have a whole additional set of problems since the LS1, out of the box, is quicker than the LT1 by a measurable amount...
