Hey guys just got back from car wars at clay city and ran a new best of 10.70 at 125.6 mph. What I am wondering is what is some of the fastest times you all have seen on factory heads. Mine have been ported but still have the stock valves. Also my motor is stroked and this was on the juice.

 

A black Z @ Southern Shootout ran 10.28 or 10.29 on LT1 castings(non-aftermarket). Not sure what was done to them, but I know they were factory casts.

Oh yeah, this was all motor too.

 

Steve Quinn went several 10.0s at 133 with ported stock castings on motor at the Southern Shootout over the weekend. That was at a raceweight of 3400 lbs. He also went 9.97 on motor when he dropped the raceweight to 3300.

As far as aftermarket castings... Joe Overton went 9.84 with the AFR headed all-motor LT1 at the Shootout.

Chris Sikora aka Znines runs hogged out factory castings and has gone 9.0x@15x.

 

I went 10.5's @131 with stock heads and no port work at all and stock valves. I asked this question a few days ago. I wanted to know who went the fastest with no port or valve work on a stock LT1 head ?? Has anyone done any better than me ??
