like i said, its all inthe driver, im not saying im warren johnson or anything but i know it can be done cause i did it. i will agree that some lt1's are faster than others, my old 95 t/a went 13.90 @ 101 stck, i think that this z is just a freak. but for the guys who only run 13.50's with mods in there ls1 need some serouis driving lessons, cause ive had 2 ls1 cars (m6) that have got in the 12's with nothing done to them, i mean nothing, straight off the showroom floor

Thumbs up

It defintily has a lot to do with the driver as well as air and track prep. When I first got my car, with just CAI and Borla cat back, I could only pull a 14.3, in the summer. Later that year after I got about 15 passes under my belt I was down to a 13.9 with a little cooler air and a much better 60'.

Also you can't go fast if you can't hook. It sets the tempo for the whole run IMO.

I ran a new best in my car this weekend. With just an SLP catback as the only mod, I ran a 13.68 at 100.4, on a 2.00 60ft. No cooldown time either, which usually gives me a tenth or two improvement. I also ran on a full tank of gas. I expect 13.5s next season with no changes (I just a good cooldown with good traction on a cool spring or fall day)
