Fastest Lt1?

Was wondering who had the fastest bone stock lt1, one of my friends told me to post my time over here,

13.31 @ 104.55 the car is a 1995 Z28 m6, all that is has that i know of is a bbk throttle body and flowmaster muffler. I thought that was real impressive for a stck lt1. Im plannig on putting gears in it this week, so hopefully we will see the 12's

ive heard a few 13.3 "stories" also.....fastest ive seen was a 13.7 from a LT1 fbody....fastest i believe is maybe a 13.6, think ive heard 13.4-5 from a LT1 vette.....Most of those lower times u see the owners have there own definition of "stock"...like for example leaving out the open exhaust and slicks part.

think about what ya just said...I highly doubt he turned those times w/ just those mods seeing either that u mentioned does hardly nothing...generally most LT1 needs all the bolts ons to hit those times....

like i said, as far as i know its all the car has. this is my car and i just bought it off of a lot and the first time i took it to the track, it went a best of 13.71 @ 103, then the next week i took it with cheaters slicks and went 13.65 @102, then last week i put on skinnies and et streets and it went 13.31@104, then backed it up with a 13.34 @104. the place i bought the car from were idiots. they told me it had a comp cam, 4:56 gears, centerforce clutch, and the motor has been rebuilt and much more. well on the first test drive i knew it didnt have 4:56 gears, and i garuntee it has a stock clutch, so that leads me to beleive that it doesnt have a cam, because the motor doesnt sound like it AT ALL, it has no sort of any lope, it actually idles just like stock. so thats why i waas wondering if 13.30's was out of the question for a stock lt1

The best time I've heard of, that I put credabilty in, for a BONE STOCK LT1(i.e. no mods at all) is 13.7* right around 100mph or so trap speed. Patman on LS1.com ran this in his LT1 car. This is about the only one I can put some faith in as I know the guy is a straight shooter. Not throwing rocks at the others by any means, but I've taken bolt on LT1s VERY far and I still have trouble digesting 13.1 out of a truly BONE STOCK LT1 car... no mods, no free mods, no weight reductions, etc...
Best for my TA bone stock was 13.90 @ 101 in very cold air.
If any one has a legitimate mid to low 13 bone stock LT1 I'd love to see it run in person, simply because I'd be so impressed.
Les face it though there are countless cars across the country pulling great times that do not post on the internet boards. There could be a whole bunch of factory freaks out there we know noting about. Doubtful IMO, BUT possible.
Anyhow us LT1 folks need to keep setting lofty goals and keep trying to reach them.
Hell my 11.94 & 11.97 bolt-on runs met with some schepticism, but that's the nature of the beast. I'm pretty sure Tekpro Dave & Intimidator, from the board here, will be surpassing my 11.9 bolt-on runs easily in the next few months and I can't wait to see how they do.
Steve...

One more thing... posting the atmospheric conditions at the time of these "stelar" runs is important. Freak times & increadable air tend to go hand & hand.

If my LT1 with all bolt ons only ran 13.3 I would be pissed. My buddies 94 LT1 with BBK Shorties, Exhaust, stock 3.42 gear, CAI and ET Streets ran 12.9 @ 105. Now that was with some minor weight reduction but nothing serious. He now has 4.10 gears and ran 8.1 @ 86mph in the 1/8. Hasnt been back to the 1/4 track but it shouldve dropped about .2!

Mine went 13.73@102.x bone stock. With a *only* CAI and muffler, it went 13.42@104.04.

I beleive that Johnny Hunkins went 13.54@ 102 bone stock in that yellow formula.

Thanks for the kind words Steve! It's true, my car was as close to bone stock as you can get. No K&N air filter, the spare tire still in the car, and I was even running on more than a 1/2 tank of gas. The only real major deviation from stock would be the Goodyear F1 GS D3 tires, although my 60ft on that run was 2.00, something I know for a fact can be achieved with stock GSCs too. My best ET was 13.74 at 100.0. I do believe with a bit better air and less fuel in the car it could've run 13.69. But I ended up switching to an SLP catback now so it's no longer bone stock.

The weather conditions were good, but not spectacular. Temps in the mid 60s, and humidity was low but the barometer was only around 30.0" or so. I've seen way better air before.

My stock times are in the sig. I still have the time slip from 8 years ago. I had a 1.95 60' on the GSCs. I tried removing the air filter from the restrictive air box and saw no gains. My friends 95 6spd also ran a 13.67 @ 102.7...stock.

last wed night in stl, the air was perfect and had a tail wind so im sure that had something to do with it. My brothers 96 Z went 12.80's with no exhaust work at all, not evan a muffler, his mods were, 1.6 rr, programer, crank pully,4.10 gears, and no weight reduction at all, so i know my 13.30 isnt out of the question, but i really think the driver has everyhting to do with it

My dad took my stepmom's BONE STOCK A4 94 Z to the track a couple of years ago and ran a 13.67. The car had 100,000 miles on it at the time and literally nothing done to it other than maintenance.

I believe times have a lot to do with the driver also.

I agree with Steve. I am also a bit doubtful. My car ran mid 14's when I bought it with an aftermarket catback. It now runs 12.0x in 80 degree weather. Traction problems have kept me out of the 11's for now. I'm buying a house soon but I'll try it again next season. I'm sure I can get to 11's without any motor mods but it isn't easy. I did some serious weight reduction. One night she tipped the scale at 2785#

i ran my car in april at the same track that patman ran his at.

it went 13.78@100.2 with a k&n as the only change, on street tires

who knows maybe st.thomas is a little short

i'd find it hard to believe that someone could run 13.30's stock, i've seen ls1's with some work only run 13.5x's
