dose this realy give you .3 sec faster et's???
Jeg's Exhaust Cutouts
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...62&prmenbr=361
Simply remove 3 wing nuts for race-proven .3 seconds quicker ET's! 16-gauge steel tubing is fully mig welded and includes 3-bolt header flange and gaskets that allow them to be bolted directly to you headers or mounted as a slip fit to your exhaust pipes. Mustang-style Race Readies are a slip fit on any OEM Mustang and most other vehicles with 3'' pipes. 1/pkg.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. 3 tenths is pretty hard to believe. Even 2 tenths is hard to believe unless you have a highly moded car and the exhaust is really holding it back.
If you added up all the "tenths of a second" you are supposed to gain from various bolt-on's you would have a 10 second car with only a $2,000 investment.

That would be like claims of "I installed a new MSD cap, rotor and wires and picked up .3". Sure, maybe they did but how bad a condition were the old ones? How about doing a comparison using new OEM parts first. Old parts were probably holding the car back already.
Not all cars will gain from an open exhaust. Many street cars need some sort of backpressure. A proper free flowing exhaust will probably perform the same as having cutouts. Having a restrictive exhaust then adding cutouts will probably show an improvement but it may not be as good as having a proper free flowing exhaust.
.3 of a second probably isn't hard to do for a 15 second car. Getting that .3 is a little harder for a 12 second car.

It helps....
I ran open exhasut open intake and cut .5 off my stock times... I have a cutout, its not as free flowing feeling as a open exhaust, I have more midrange then an open exhaust and is definitely better then a stock exhaust.
Just to warn you its just baout one of the loudest exhaust setups you can have.

[QUOTE=camarolover20]If you think a cutout is loud run some open headers.I gained 2 tenths from just cuting my muffler off I think maybe more but my 60 was worse before so hard to compare.

then i cant drive it on the street and it would be too hard to close it

cutouts are going to help, but not as much as you would expect. A nice cat-back is what will really get you numbers, and even then maybe .1, .2 if your lucky.
Granted cutouts are cheap, but they cause so many other problems. sound problems, obviously, the heat could wear off your paint or coating (depending where they're mounted). So why risk it?
