Is this a decent time

This is my first LT1 (Always had LS1's) so I don't really know what they are supposed to run stock but I took it out tonight and got some times. The car is completely stock down to the paper filter and is a '97 auto with 3:23 gears. I was on 315 Nitto DRs @ 15psi.

2.1 60'
9.3 1/8th
76 mph

Shouldn't that be 9.3 @ 76 ?

Re: Is this a decent time

I have headers, LT4 Hot Cam, 3200 stall, 3.73s, suspension work and MT ET Streets with a best 1/8 ET of 7.79 (12.17, 1/4). Therefore, I don't believe a 7.30 is possible with a stock LT1! The 7.30 would be equal to an 11.40 in the 1/4, again not possible.

Yup 9.3 is what I meant. I only got two hours of sleep last night so I'm a little tired.

So what about a 9.3, is that alright?

That's a fair time and the E.T. looks correct. Some run 8.8's and some run 9.8's it all depends on the driver and how well it's been maintained. Good times though...

i run about 9.2 off the bottle.

i got the moroso intake, cat back, and a mild computer tune.

oh yeah, 2.73 gears on mine...but yours looks about right for stock to the paper filter.

but on the bottle and my ET Streets i am cutting 1.5 60' with 7.7 @ 88...so you should spray it

Wow I need to hook. I run the same 88mph in the 1/8th as you on the bottle but went 8.99 with a 2.30 60ft. I can't even spray until 4,000 in second if I want it to even try to hook....

Nice times on spray!! I definitely plan on spraying but there will also be a built 355 with heads/cam, stall, and all that good stuff.
