Thumbs up

In bracket racing "seat time" (experience) is probably more important than a consistant, or fast car. Starting out, you're probably going to get beat-up some by the seasoned racers and in the process pay your dues. But after you win some rounds here and there, you'll be hooked on the sport like the rest of us!

Good MPH for the mods.... I'd be looking at the launch and your shifting. You could easily get 7.8s out of a properly setup car going 89MPH.

Hopefully in a final round instead of round one.

Hey, anything can happen at any time in bracket racing. I have been put out by just about everybody I have raced at one time or another. It just is what it is. Anybody can win on any given day.

That is why I like a points season as most of the time the better racers end up near the top year after year. We all have slumps, red lights, breakouts, and simply get beat. If it was easy it wouldn't be any fun.

Ted,

When did you come up with that new avatar and what is it? Hope it isn't your grandson, or another family member (looks somewhat alien). If you're just testing the waters with it, the old avatar is more you (gray hair)!

It is the cover of the new Paul Simon album... I just figured I'd screw around with some different things for a bit. I'm already tired of it anyway... I just kinda realized that I hadn't changed my avatar is over a year...

Wild Willie Borsch. He was my original inspiration and introduction to drag racing in the 1960s.
