Compare These Timeslips- What SHOULD The ET Be?
ok, first slip is from last season. the run was made with a 50 shot on radial tires and there was alot of spinning.
60FT- 2.1
1/8 ET- 8.3
1/8 MPH- 88
1/4 ET- 12.7
1/4 MPH- 110
second slip is from this past Sat. was made with current mods in sig on DR's and 150's in. i ran through the 1/8 and then let off because the tranny slips going into 3rd.
60FT- 1.7
1/8 ET- 8.1
1/8 MPH- 87
1/4 ET- 12.7
1/4 MPH- 104
i was thinking it prolly could have gone real low 12s had i been able to stay in it. thats my best 60 EVER and it felt GOOD! that was leaving off idle (on the juice) with NO gear and NO converter.
ive got a pic of the car leaving and a video that a friend is making a copy of for me. in the pic i have, it almost looks like the left front tire is off the ground but its kind of hard to tell because of the shadow. but in the video my buddy swears up and down the car is toten' the tire, but i havent seen it yet.
either way, the car is definatly transffering!
time for a stall and gears!!

My guess is that you shifted into third about 150 feet prior to the 1/8 mile marker????? If so I am guessing it might have been a 12.4 or so... ( am guessing maybe a 8.0 1/8 time if this is true).
110 is good enough for high 11's in some cars depending on how efficient they are.

did you mean "150 ft prior to the 1/4 MILE??" my car has 2.73s so it shifts 3rd NA just before before the 1/4 traps. on juice, it will shift sooner but not THAT soon. i was at about 4,5-4,7k in 2nd when i ran through the 1/8 this past weekend.
that MPH (110) was with a much smaller shot. i was thinking that with the 150s it, that the MPH would be around mid teens or so. also, i still think the 60 is really good for what ive got, and would be good for at least very low 12s if not 11s.
thanks,
jon
