Calculating rwhp?
Calculating rwhp?
I've been to several sites and I get conflicting results. First off, my car weights 3550 with me in it. It runs 11.8's @ 111.xx mph, but when I figure for mph it says I only make 337 rwhp and when I figure on et it says 418 rwhp. I have a 4000 TC in a th350 and I know that the TC is killing my mph at the track, but which figure is correct?

The reason I haven't been on a dyno is that I know the TC will kill the #'s.
I was running around 115-116 mph when the car was a m6 and had the hotcam, and sense then I've added a larger cam along with the A3 and 4000 TC. So I think I'm losing at least 3-4 mph.

I found a pretty good site called www.smokemup.com seems to be pretty accurate. Your hp will be down but the torque should be up. Put a manual lock up in the trans. I run 116 on street tires at 3,600lbs. The program puts me at 385hp for the mph. Which is pretty much right on from what I have seen. I think my real number is actualy in the low 400hp range. The car should run about 119mph when I can go WOT from beginning to end. Launching at half throttle, spinning, letting off and hitting third tends to kill mph.
