i have BFG Drag Radial Comp T/A 255/50/16

what is a good air pressure for the track to hook?

there is no set pressure,as every car and track dictate different setups. try around 20 psi and go up or down from there.

I'm with RacinLT1 on this. I'm on my 5th set of those same size tires. I usually use 18-20 psi if the track is prepped half way decent and I hook good. I do a good HOT burnout and they stick like glue

I was wondering why the 255 sized tire? Would you hook better with something a little wider?

That's as wide as they make them in a 16" wheel.
