Best gears for low end speed for street
With the mods in the sig I want your opinions on the best gears for light to light racing. I got so burned the other day that I think I am way to high end heavy to keep up with cars either from a rolling start or already driving, not to mention off the line. There was a guy who came up from behind going about 50, I saw him, I too was going about 50. I decided to go for it and down shifted to third but still got HOUSED. I know he was travelling faster and all but unless I went to second maybe, I wouldn't have stood a chance in hell. SO... is as change in gears a good idea for what I described?

3.42, stock tires.
When you say putting it down, are you talking tire spin?
I f*ed up when I put in the cam that has the larger exhaust time. 224/228. I was told they should have been closer, or even go with hte new reverse split where the exhaust time is actually shorter i.e. 224/220. It is said to help with back pressure which my car needs anyway with the mods so far.

yes I mean tire spin .. I run a 224/230 and it does real well for me I dont think it will put me in the 400rwhp range. probally 360-375 I did run a 7.90 in the 8th wich is a 12.32 in the 1/4 on street tires. Kuhmo 711's
