Best E.T. '96 Z28 vert. A4

I ran a couple of 14.0's and 13.9's with my best being a 13.92@98.72 MPH w/a 2.084 60ft. I also weighed it: 3610lbs. minus driver ( I'm 190lbs.). I was suprised, it's stock 91,000 miles with a K&N CAI and fresh plugs and wires. It's an A4 w/3.23's. I'm thinking longtubes, catback and a tune will do wonders. These runs were @ ATCO N.J.

Not bad at all. Let the serious mods begin.

Very nice! I had to put 3:73 gears in my 97 to get a 14.07.

back to ATCO on April 14th. update......

Put a barely used Yank ss3600 in.( this converter is awesome! )
I removed the jack, spare, floor mats.
Put 26x10.5-16 ET streets ( not the radials) on the stock rims with 225/55-16 nexens on the front. ( had 17 rims w/ 275/45-17's on the last time )

This dropped the car weight to 3480 on ATCO's scale.

Everything else remains 100% stock (tune, thermostat, etc) except for the CAI.

Car ran 1.82 60ft., 8.454 1/8 @80.32, 13.36 1/4 @100.04.
I made about 10 passes all in the 13.30 range.

Next will be 4.10's, 160 therm., and a tune .......maybe 12's next time around?

GET THE CONVERTER .....drives great around town....locks up @45MPH
I wouldn't go less then a 3600 stall........EVER

I'm hoping 4.10's will get my 60ft. in the 1.7 range, best is a 1.82.

About a tenth and one mph from the weight reduction and the rest from the converter.
Freakin' awesome, Yank strikes again.

That is a great improvement, just remember too, you have some of the best air in that area, i'm also surprized at the weight of that conv., i was told they are closer to 3800+, now i know different, so if my hard top is indeed lighter, then i'm in the 3500+ range stock, put some LT headers on it & a good exhaust, you'll be amazed, i've gone 13.79 @ 101.04 in mine on a 2.17 60ft., this is at 15-1600 ft. with 157K miles, 6sp. with bolt-ons & street tires.
