Exclamation Anyone running M&H Racemasters DOT Drag Tire??

I opened my newest Jegs magazine, and they now carry M&H Racemasters.

Looking at their tire selection, under their Muscle Car Drag Tires, which look VERY similar to an ET Street and QTP, they have a 305/40/16 tire. Looking at the size chart and comparing it to a 26x11.5x16 ET Street, it is identical except .2" shorter.

I'm not in the market for a new drag tire, as my ET Street work well and have plenty of life in them. Just more curious than anything else.

I ran M&H 16" dot slicks for two years before I switched to 15" rims they definitely did the job but I would not drive on the street with them I did it once that's all it took to convince me to carry them to the track.

Exclamation

How were they traction / wear wise vs. an ET Street or QTP.

I've driven my ET Streets to/from the track twice, and on a couple trips elsewhere. Only even the least bit scary was the tail coming a little loose when I got on it through a curve (kinda forgot I had those tires on there). Even drove on them when it started to drizzle, w/ nothing scary happening.

I have the M&H Racemaster 305/40/16s on a set of rims that I have had for almost 3 years now. I loved them and I'm glad that you let me know they're in JEGs. I will be getting me another set. I didn't think they were bad at all on the street, but my standards are low. I cut low 1.6 shorts all day long with them when I was bolt-ons and gas.

It is kind of hard to tell the differences as I went from 3.23 to 3.73's at the same time I changed to the 15'' M/T's but I always hooked up but the car was also running in the 12.9's at the time I do know that when they went away I knew It.But It was after 2 or 3 years of bracket racing . I would have to go in the logs to see how many runs I took but it was quite a few.
