A4 dragging

I just have a quick question. I have a 2002 Z28, with about 1300 miles on it, and was just wondering if I should leave it on Overdrive, regular Drive, or shift from 1 to 2 to D? thanks

Thumbs up

Drive around the water if on street tires.
Spin tires a little, in 1st gear, to clean off dirt.
Shift to drive, not overdrive.
Stage till the second pair of lights just come on. Called shallow staging.
Brake torque to 800 rpms.
When 3rd yellow lights get off the brake and push, don't stomp, the gas down.
You should be able to pull 2.0x 60's and run 13.3-5 @ 104-6mph in good cool weather.
Have fun

Cool

I've tried them all, and could never get a better time with manual shifting. Just leave it in drive. Good luck and keep us posted.
