With that rear gear, probably a little slower than that. Are you sure on the gear?

 

yes, we had to replace the carrier bearings and on the pinion it was stamped with 2.73, plus when you spin the pinion it rotates 2.73 times for one carrier revolution, i know really tal gear for a motor wit hlittle torque, tried talking him into some 3.90s

 

Sounds like that gear change (3.90) and a set of sticky tires would really help that car.

 

98 GT, honestly the early non P.I 4.6's were complete terds. The 1st thing that I'd do with one of those engines would be a P.I conversion

if its an auto definite 15s....


lets just say I raced a 5-speed with exhaust and some misc. bolt ons at the track. It was loud sounded nice, figure I would get toasted and just race myself more then the guy and get a good launch.


We line, lights go, I am getting my rpms where I want them, he takes off, he definitely lights me, I launch, dead hook (2.0), I am pulling on him shift to 2nd, pass him, and go into 3rd and put a length on him.

It was one of my favorite races...

 

Was that with one of the cars in your sig. It woulda been pretty pitiful if you would have done that with the mighty 6 banger.
