60ft effect on 1/4 time
60ft effect on 1/4 time
What is the unofficial calculation when it comes to 60ft times effecting your 1/4 mile times. example: ( i ran a 13.95 @ 104 with a 2.7-2.8 60ft time. Track sucked and horrible tires)
what would i have ran with my drag radials with a decent 60ft?
what would i have ran with my drag radials with a decent 60ft?

Damn..nice times.. for that 60ft

I ran a 14.5 @ 100mph with a 2.6 60ft Guess your not that only one with issues
Of course it was about 18 degrees out.
There isn't really a calculation. Theoretically, your 1/4 mile ET's are reduced by as much as your 60' times improve. In other words, if your average 60' time is 2.7 and you improve it by an average of .2 (to 2.5), your 1/4 mile times will be reduced by .2 also; in your case to 13.75. It doesn't always work this way, but it's usually pretty close.
The deal with 60ft time and its affects on 1/4 times is very subjective.
Their are two many variables to throw around. For example, my best 60 ft time on street tires(non dr or mt) was a 1.997. I had a great 60ft time but out of excitement of my great launch I slammed the shift into second and killed my run with lose of traction.
Some people will say you gain .2 for every .1 off your 60ft time.<--- My personal experience, and every car will be different, is that for every .1 I drop in the 60ft I drop .15-.2 off the quarter mile time.
Their are two many variables to just say what would I run with a better 60ft time. I would say you definately have a low 13 sec to mid-to-high 12 sec car.
