60 ft With Nittos and 373 gear
Hi, i have a 94 z28 with couple boltons , neways i have a 373 gear and street tires and my best 60 ft is like a 2.054,if i get Nittos 555r's will i be able to cut this time any lower with a stock torque converter?
Most of the ppl I have talked to can get lower than 2.0 with the stock converter and a dragradial.Everyone complains about it bogging because it "deadhooks" but since you have 373`s I would think you could still get 1.8 60`s with the right tire pressure and good track prep.
When I raced with dragradials I got my best 60ft ever(1.667)now I have trouble getting 1.70 with et streets,it doesnt spin it just seems to grab too hard and I guess it bogs a bit not sure but it doesnt spin at all.

my old IROC went 1.80-1.85 numerous times with a stock converter and 3.73 gears on a 275/40/17 Nitto Drag radial. It was a TPI 350 engine though and low end torque was it's game
It's only game...lol
You should easily see sub 2.00 60 foot times with practice, proper tire pressure and a decent track. A 5-7 second HOT burnout does wonders with these drag radials, believe me.
