60 Down 1/4 Up

First run was 2.194 60 foot @ 99MPH in the end

Second run 2.164 60 foot @98MPH in the end

So I went down in the 60, but I am a MPH slower and my time went fomr 14.3 to 14.4.. I thought it was susposed to be the better the 60 the better the ET.

Also how do you just pratice 60 foot times... My 60's suck comapred to others, street tires suck for drag racing and that is all I have now are these Kuhmo's...

I have run a 13.98/14.01 before, but right now in Florida it is HOT HOT HOT....

I want to run 13.9 @100 each time I go out to race.... So I figure if I mess with my 60 foot I will eventually get it.. But it is hard to pratice on test/tune night..

60' are only part of the ET equation. You can still get tire spin after the 60' time. You could also shift at slightly different rpms which will change your ET and MPH.

If you want consistancy, stay away from street tires.

If everything else stays the same during a launch, rpm etc, you play with tire pressure until 60' times don't get any better. If 60' times are all over the place and you're doing everything the same then you have wheels spin and need sticky tires or else the launch pad is in poor condition.
