4.10's helped my traction??
I am not a good driver... I had never gotten better than 2.23
on street tires before, and averaged 2.3's
same 2,000 rpm launch before and after
I swaped in 4.10's and heard traction would get even harder...
but I cut 2 2.03's first time back to track...same tires...
i also had several 2.1's and that is better than I have
ever done... ET went from 8.83 to 8.52 with 4.10's
on street tires before, and averaged 2.3's
same 2,000 rpm launch before and after

My friend with a 98 ss had the same results with a 6 spd. He finds it easier to time the "let the clutch out hard (but not too hard) and hammer the gas hard" (but not too hard) street tire routine. And it comes out of the hole really nice!
