4.10's in a bolt on LT1 car?????
he gang,
a friend of mine jsut picked up a 93 t/a w/auto. it is a great car adn he plans to stick to simple bolt ons to add power whiel he is in college. we were wondering if 4.10's would be a good gear choice for such a car or if soemthign less woudl eb better. he drives pretty slow on the highway and 99% of his driving is just around town, so teh extra rpom is not really a big deal. just looking for the best et gain.
TIA

I say go with the 4.10's !! I had them in my 93Z for the past 4 yrs and I love them. The reason why I like them so much , your car will stay more it's power range at the top end. With 3.73's and vig or any other lock-up converter ,they seem to fall down on its face then pick up again right at the line. With 4.10's , you car will make one more charge for the finish line and you will love it . Go for it !!
