355 6 Speed goes 10.49 @ 130.4 NA
Went back to the track tonight to see how this thing was gonna run. First pass went pretty well laying down a 1.44 60 and running a 10.51 @ 130.31. I was pretty happy with that since it put me in front of tanner but though I could do alittle better. Messed up second run and slowed to a 10.55 but on the last run of the night with the dew setting on the car managed a
60 1.437
1/8 6.710 @ 105.74
1/4 10.494 @ 130.4
I pulled a pretty good wheelie on that one and bogged the car. I finally got it hooking good on the last run. I was running the 6000 chip in the 2 step so I know I could throw more launch rpm at it and it will pick up. I was also adding fuel all night and it seemed to like it more and more..so I feel there is more in this thing. Oh well...I plan on hitting the track soon again to see if I can improve on it. Also..weight was alittle over 3300 lbs.
P.S.... TANER...beat cha.

How are you getting so much mph out of only 476 rwhp at 3,300+ ? ...just seems high for that .....
For instance, mine is suppossed to only go about ~118-120 at ~450 rwhp and about ~3,700 lbs (haven't run it yet, but other comparable rides trap about ~118-120). Maybe I should just use a calculator, I'm sure the weight difference is most of it ....but still
.....130+ is movin' for "only" 476

Re: 355 6 Speed goes 10.49 @ 130.4 NA
Average power in the range of the gearing. With a 6 speed you don't drop very far so a really wide powerband isn't necessary, so he has alot of average HP in the powerband for the peak number.

....maybe the gearing combined with a higher redline is part of the explanation as well. Edit: I see, you're saying average HP in the power curve (not whole curve) ....which may indeed be a much bigger curve (the power part of it) since it's a higher reving motor. He's got the nice low gears to take max advantage of it and like you say, close ratio tranny too. Cool, I see now.

Here is his dyno sheet....you can see that he is just starting to peak when the dyno cuts out but look how flat the curve is up near 475rwhp.

PS: I'm not a stalker lol, I just really hope to get my car to this level so I've studied it a bit.
